No, I'm not pregnant again (thank you very much!). But if I was, I would totally buy one of the funky cool tshirts at Maternitee by Swanky. The pregnant mudflap girl is too funny. I also love the shirt that says simply "Prego". If you don't have a sense of humor when you are pregnant, you are in big trouble!

Sweet Pea T

My newest cutie creations is the Sweet Pea T. I embroidered it and appliqued the sweet peas and pod in felt. It turned out great, if I do say so myself. That's my sweetie wearing it. I'm sure it will soon have some real peas on it! Ha ha!

Well, for one thing, I'm chasing after this guy all day. Here is a picture of him helping me decorate the floor. He does that a lot - with toys, books, tupperware, pots & pans... Bless his little heart!

Those of you who don't have toddlers may say, "Why don't you lock that cabinet?" Because if I did, he would get into something a lot worse. Or get bored and practice climbing onto the couch. Or pull the placemats off the kitchen table and dump a Pepsi Vanilla on himself. Hey, anything it takes to get to take a bath, right?

I made my first entry for A Month of Softies! Softies are stuffed animals, knit things or other crafty creations. The theme was vintage catwalk. I hand sewed this little darling:

My first softie.

'Here is my very first softie. She was hastily made, but so cute none-the-less. She is supposed to be wearing vintage glasses, but it ended up looking more like a super hero mask. Oh well, we should all be mistaken for super heros from time to time.'"

Spunky Turtle's debut

Look! I did it! I have my very own blog. Blogs are hip, so now I must be hip, too.

Seriously, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Kari and I own an online baby store called Spunky Turtle.

Q: Why "Spunky"?
A: Because he's no ordinary turtle. He's got a bit of an attitude and a lot of spunky energy.

Q: Why "Turtle"?
A: That's my sister's fault. She loves turtles so much.

One day as I was dreaming of names for the baby store I was starting, I pictured a turtle saying something sarcastic. His original name was sassy turtle.

I changed his name to Spunky because there is already a toy manufacturer called Sassy. I also added eyebrows! What an improvement.
